"How do you feel about the violin?" — A Study in Pink
Days Like Crazy Paving
"Think about me when you’re living your life, one day after another, all in a neat pattern. Think of the homeless traveler and his old police box with his days like crazy paving."
(Quote from The Seventh Doctor, Dragonfire.)
Luna University Archives: The Doctor Paints The Impossible Girl
Curator’s Notes: Exquisitely illustrated medieval Earth manuscript depicting The Doctor painting one of his more mysterious Companions. The Latin inscription translates roughly to “Public call box. Pull to open.”
Just Talking [by WriteDragon]
I treasure these quiet moments of friendship that the Doctor shares with his companions, because they give us a glimpse of what it’s like when there’s not so much running to do.
The third Doctor and Jo Grant seem to give us more of these than most Doctor-companion pairs. They spend a lot of time locked in prison cells and dungeons, but rather than panicking while they work on untying the knots that bind them, they talk as though they were friends sharing a cup of tea.
They talk about everything: the Doctor’s life on Gallifrey, the past, their likes and dislikes, and their hopes, philosophies, dreams, and fears.
These timeless scenes draw us into their world like nothing else, and they make me feel like I’m wrapped in a warm blanket on the sofa, enjoying the company of my oldest and dearest friends.

My planet’s gone. It’s dead. It burned, like the Earth. It’s just rocks and dust.

"They’re called Slabs. Basic slave drones. See? Solid leather, all the way through. Someone has got one hell of a fetish.” — Tenth Doctor, Smith and Jones
